Going to get your vagina waxed, spreading your legs, laying on a table and making small talk with someone you have never met before while they remove the hair from your body can be a little awkward. I am honestly a fairly comfortable person with my body, including my naked body. Of course, I was a little bit nervous going to Cerabella Esthetics for the first time to get a Brazilian wax for the first time in 10 years.
Let me tell you right off the bat, it was the most amazing waxing experience I have ever had.
I met with the owner Liliana who is an amazing woman. Liliana came to the United States of America when she was 21 years old with a one-year-old child. She had family here and began working immediately. You can tell Liliana is a determined woman who wants to get work done. Liliana took years of ESL class learning English and now being bilingual. She started working in different salons then within the last year, purchasing her own space in Denville, NJ already growing out of it!
Cerabella Esthetics is located at 3117 Route 10 East, Denville, NJ. It is a fantastic location, easily accessible from anywhere in NJ. As you turn into the parking lot, you see a slick, brick building. Cerabella Ethetics is located on the first floor on the left-hand side of the building, it is the first door you see. As you walk in, you immediately notice that amazing aesthetic of the dark blue walls with white and gold accents. Everything is so clean and makes you feel comfortable immediately.
Liliana came out immediately. We took a tour of her office, with three different rooms offering facials, waxing and so much more. We entered the waxing room, and you can tell Liliana loves her job. When you get waxed down there, you need to bite the bullet and just take your pants and underwear off, bada boom, bada bing, climb on the table, spread eagle, hello lady! I spoke with Liliana the entire time. Of course, one of my first questions is, "how do you wax vaginas? You see everything!!!". Actually, when we were messaging on Instagram right before, I was asking her about the length of the hair down there. The longer the better she said, of course not a mile long. As we were talking about it, I said, "omg, you're going to see my entire VV!", she said "yes I am!!!". Liliana said she has been doing it so long that she does not even see the body parts anymore, it is just another place that she is removing hair.
I have gotten Brazilian waxes before, when I was 18-20 years old, at European Wax. I did like it there, I liked their wax, I do remember it always being so cold and I was sweating. The wax that Liliana uses is vegan and smells delicious. For those of you who are not sure what a Brazilian wax is, it removes all the hair down there, from front to BACK. As you get closer to the actual vagina, the pain increases due to sensitivity. That is the worst part I remember from getting waxed when I was younger. I have to be 100% honest, the pain from getting waxed at Cerabella Esthetics was 50% less than when I went to European Wax. Liliana said whenever she covered for coworkers previously at different salons, they would always say it was less painful. It is all about the technique. If you are getting a Brazlian Wax for the first time, I first recommend you go to Cerabella Esthetics, speak with Liliana, ask all of the questions you want and then just do it! Be comfortable, open up (literally), and do it!
I also got my armpits waxed for the first time. It was literally painless. Someone messaged me after and said she heard the armpit was very painful but for me it was not. Especially after getting your VV waxed. I will say I have a fairly high pain tolerance.
Overall, I highly recommend that you follow Cerabella Esthetics on Instagram. I recommend you visit their offices for any wax that you are looking for, you won't regret it.
